Life is a series of presentations!

I define PRESENTATION as the act of working to change the content of another person's mind at a paticular time and place. Note that I said "to change the content of another person's mind," not "to change another person's mind."

The Eight Very Important Points:

1. Your success in life depends upon how you approach the millions of opportunities before you.

2. Unless you're a hermit living on a mountaintop, your life largely consists of your interactions with the people around you.

3. The way in which we present our thoughts and ideas to people-from our colleagues at work to our spouse and even the person waiting on us at the grocery store-could have a pro-found effect on the shape of our own lives.

4. Mastery of the art of making presentations takes us closer to the outcomes we desire.

5. Delivering good presentations requires more skill than talent.

6. Presentation Mastery is the single biggest key to professional success and personal power.

7. The essential practices of successful presenters will dramatically improve your ability to effectively comminicate your ideas to individuals or to groups of any size in both your business and personal lives.

8. The better your presentations are, the better your life will be.

WHAT DOES GEOLOGIST DO

Geologists work to understand the history of our planet. The better they can understand Earth’s history the better they can foresee how events and processes of the past might influence the future.

WHAT IS GEOLOGY

Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet. An important part of geology is the study of how Earth’s materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time.

GEOLOGY AS A CAREER

Geologists work in a variety of settings. These include: natural resource companies, environmental consulting companies, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and universities. Many geologists do field work at least part of the time. Others spend their time in laboratories, classrooms or offices. All geologists prepare reports, do calculations and use computers.
